Singer Songwriter, Guitarist, Bodhran and Bow harp player, Lara has been described as “a very talented singer songwriter… one to watch out for!” (Johnny Coppin BBC Glocs) and “absolutely incredible…truely, truely a magician (James Santer LIVE on Exeter FM). A passionate writer and musician, Lara has also recorded a charity album (Thursdays in Black), a comission for a friendly beekeeper (www.biobees.com), songwriting workshops with children and young people, and been involved in a number of festivals (including Edinburgh Fringe and Sidmouth Folk week) as well as folk clubs, theatres and small performance venues.
Having collaborated with numerous artists from around the country, Niks brings a variety of flavours from different musical traditions into modern interpretation. Tending towards the contemporary, he has been playing the ancient didjeridu for over ten years developing a unique, rhythmic style and has adapted his own electric lap-slide sitar. Together with an array of percussion from around the world, the sounds that emanate from this multi-instrumentalist defy classification but take you on a journey woven with the yarn of culture and innovation.
